Anne Zimmerman, CPA recently had the honor of attending a Stakeholders’ Summit at the White House. There she met with the President and Vice President of the United States, as well as with 21 other CEOs from the country’s largest companies, to share her ideas and suggestions on possible resolutions for long-term employment. Anne was invited to represent the country’s small business community and, while the “power” in the room was rather overwhelming, she represented her constituency well; sharing her ideas on possible changes to how credit bureaus report scores and ways to have the voices of the small business owners heard equally as loud as those of the CEO of McDonald’s, Siemens or Bank of America. Anne’s invitation to this summit arose from her years of passionate work fighting for the “little guy” across the country. It was quite an honor to recognize her efforts in this very visible way. Also, on a personal level, it was an amazing experience to interact with the top members of this country’s administration.
